The TRIDENT Automatic Bollard is an automatic retractable bollard that operates using an electric motor. The standard operation starts from the up position. Upon receiving an input from an external access control system or button, the bollards lower into the down position (in the ground). After the vehicle has passed through the security zone, the bollards raise to the up position and lock. It can be cycled constantly and requires no recovery time. Electric operation allows for built-in safety protection for authorized vehicles passing over the bollards. Used extensively for high-security vehicle entrance control applications, the TRIDENT electric bollard system offers an attractive, yet highly secure blockade for facilities such as Corporate Headquarters, Banks and Data Centers, Executive Parking Lots, Courthouses, Stadiums, Museums and Manufacturing plants. Unlike conventional bollard systems,the 30-inch tall TRIDENT utilizes an advance electric drive system which affords both safety and security for authorized users. The variable frequency drive motor offers precise control of both operating speed and rising force. To ensure the safety of authorized vehicles, the TRIDENT is equipped with a torque monitor that will cause the bollards to automatically retract if the preset resistance limit is reached. Additionally, TRIDENT offers safety features such as ground loops, traffic signals and reflective stripes. Elevate the level of security while maintaining an attractive environment with Bollards with the TRIDENT Automatic Bollard Systems. Standard operation begins with the Bollards in the raised position. When signaled to allow access via card reader, RFID tag, guard station push button, or other procedure, the bollards lower in unison within a few seconds and remain flush with the road surface until the authorized vehicle has passed through the security zone. Once the authorized vehicle has cleared the ground safety loop, the bollards raise in unison to maintain a secure perimeter until the next vehicle authorization occurs. The Bollards can also be programmed to allow Free Exit, which means that as an exiting vehicle approaches the exit loop, the bollards will lower and remain flush with the ground until the vehicle has cleared the ground safety loop. The TRIDENT Automatic Bollard sets the benchmark for industry standards. It provides the highest performance level. It is designed to achieve in excess of 120 up and down cycles per hour and has an MCBF (Mean Cycles Before Failure) rating of 1,500,000 cycles. The TRIDENT Bollard is extremely reliable, while at the same time providing advanced safety features for both vehicles and pedestrians. It provides an 11" diameter by 30" tall barrier, and can fully retract or raised in four (4) seconds. The TRIDENT STATIONARY BOLLARD is designed to compliment the AUTOMATIC BOLLARD. With the same height, diameter, finish and impact resistance, the Fixed Bollard can be installed to the sides of the traffic lane or in other areas where vehicle access is not required 
The Bollard is unique in the area of safety. Safety features include: 1. Bollard utilizes voltage regulation to limit upward torque allowed on the underside of a vehicle to minimize impact2. A 3M type reflective stripe installed on the upper part of the bollard.3. No mechanism in the upper part of the bollard; all mechanical parts are under the ground level when the bollard is in the upper position.4. Movement time controlled by PLC in the control panel.5. Moto-reductor includes thermal protection.6. Control Panel includes breaker.7. Bollard is fully waterproof and is designed to operate submerged if necessary. Drainage must be provided to drain the water at a rate of one (1) gallon per minute. |
