Safety Barricade

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Barricades are stronger, more resilient, lighter, and less expensive than rotationally molded barricades using low-density polyethylene.

The ROADGUARD HDPE Safety Barricade is a rapidly deployable unit ideal for traffic and security situations in work zone and other construction areas. The unit enhances security and safety in less time than constructing sandbag structures or moving concrete road barriers. Stackable and easy to ship and store, the ROADGUARD barricade is compatible with lights, signage, and stanchions and fencing. The display panel can be used for interchangeable signage: directional, advertising, or warning. The barricades can form a tamper-proof inseparable wall in any configuration.

Roadguard Safety Barricades have a recess that allows for the installation of 6" x 36" high-intensity reflective sheeting on both sides of the barricade. With reflective sheeting attached, they meet the specifications for use as MUTCD Type I and Type II barricades, and are accepted for use by the FHWA (WZ-200).

*Tensile Strength - The pulling strength required to break a given specimen.
Flexural Strength - The tensile stress of the outermost fibers of a bent test sample at the instant of failure.
Flexural Modulus - A measure of the strain imposed in the outermost fibers of a bent specimen.

Approved by FHWA for Use as Type I & Type II and LCB Barricades

When interlocked and deployed in a connecting line, the barricades meet MUTCD specification 6F-66 for Longitudinal Channelizing Barricades (LCB), and when ballasted with 8 gallons of water, they are approved as crashworthy by FHWA (WZ-214) for use on the National Highway System (NHS), in order to enhance safety in hazardous work areas.

ROADGUARD Safety Barricades are manufactured of high impact, UV resistant High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), and are available in OSHA safety colors Orange (Item: RGSBO) and White (Item: RGSBW). There is easy access to the fill hole and drains, and units nest for compact storage.
