ROADGUARD/2 OUTPERFORMS LOW-DENSITY BARRIERS

Because High-Density polyethylene is 2-1/2 times stronger than Low-Density polyethylene, it is now practical, using new advances in blow-mold technology, to manufacture a barrier that is lighter in weight, yet still stronger than a rotationally molded, Low-Density plastic, Jersey-style barrier.

The result is the ROADGUARD/2 — an 85 lb. double-chambered portable barrier that is easily handled and deployed, and produced at significantly less cost than competitive rotationally molded barriers.

*Tensile Strength - The pulling strength required to break a given specimen.
Flexural Strength - The tensile stress of the outermost fibers of a bent test sample at the instant of failure. Flexural Modulus - A measure of the strain imposed in the outermost fibers of a bent specimen.

ROADGUARD/2 STATE-OF-THE-ART DESIGN FEATURES

Using new blow-mold technology, the ROADGUARD/2 is a double-chambered, 85 lb. barrier that is stronger and lighter than all competitive Jersey-style barriers. The two chambers are structurally interlocked and brass-bolted together with four strong structural foam-molded polyolefin lugs. The double chamber provides two vertical walls in the center of the barrier, delivering added strength and stability.

A CRASHWORTHY LONGITUDINAL CHANNELIZING DEVICE (LCD)

• LCDs are less confusing than widely spaced cones, drums and folding barricades.
• Drivers cannot shortcut or mistake openings, because LCDs form a continuous wall.
• LCDs clearly delineate work zones at night and in bad weather, and are not knocked over by traffic or winds that damage and move cones, vertical panels and folding barricades.

ROADGUARD/2 barriers can be purchased without our Locking Ramp device. Without the device, they will nest with barriers made by Armorcast (Guardian™), Remcon (Guardsafe™), Creative Building Products (Safety Barricade), Off the Wall (MB JSS barriers), among others.

Our locking devices can be purchased separately and added to ROADGUARD/2 barriers at a later date.
